1) Enter keyword 'mac games' (type Command-k for the keyword dialog), pressreturn.
2) After the window is complete click on the 'Special Interest Groups'button on the left, it's the 4th of 7.
3) A small window will open, double click on the 'PlayMaker Football'folder.
4) You will next see the PlayMaker Football forum libraries. This is alisting of folders for the different leagues, utilities and game films.
5) Open the 'PlayMaker New Files & Utilities' folder (double click).
6) The PMFB v2.3 program will be the first listed. - PMFB: v2.3 PlayMaker Football

1) Enter keyword 'pc games' and press return.
2) You will be at the main Games Forum window. In the bottom left areathere will be a set of buttons/choices. Click on 'PC Games Cafe'.
3) The next window will have a listing of three areas on the rightside. Click on the 'PC Games Libraries' picture.
4) The PC Game Forum Libraries window will open. Click on the 'Windows Games' picture button at the bottom (second from left).
5) Scroll to the bottom of the window, double click on the 'Other Windows Games' selection.
6) A new window will appear. You will have to scroll to find the PMFBW game named - PMFB: v2.2 PlayMaker Football.

Q-- How can I upgrade from PMFB v2.0 to the latest version?
A-- PlayMaker Football v2.0 was published by Broderbund Software, Inc.
PlayMaker, Inc., now the publisher of PlayMaker Football (PMFB), offers v2.4 as the most recent version for US $25.00. It contains a significant number of bug fixes and an entire new code base optimized for modern systems and hardware Since version 2.1.
Sorry, but there are no special upgrade offers prior to version 2.1. If you'd like to download PlayMaker Football v2.4, click one of the following: PMFB Macintosh v2.3 | PMFB Windows v2.3. If you'd like to purchase PlayMaker Football v2.3 visit the PlayMaker Store.
Q-- Are there any other options to the standard online registration process?
A-- If you're having trouble using our online order system, we have a backup. You can send us your information securely using our PlayMaker Secure Information form to send us your name, address, email address, phone number, credit card number and expiration date, and the product you'd like to order. Feel free to add any comments you might have as well.
Q-- Why won't my registration keycode "stick"?
A-- If your registration information for PMFB Macintosh is lost on each restart of the application, try the following:
1) Turn off virtual memory and reboot; launch PMFB, register it, and quit; turn virtual memory back on and reboot. The registration information should now "stick." Please let us know if you have any further trouble.
2) Restart with extensions "off", that is re-boot holding the "shift" key until you see the startup screen "Welcome to Macintosh" showing "extensions off". Run PMFB and register it. Quit the program if it doesn't self-quit. The registration will stick.
There are many third party extensions that can cause a variety of problems with any software registration. Many do not, but it is not a simple task to list all those that might be involved with this problem.
Q-- Why won't my keycode for PMFB (Mac) work for PMFB (PC)?
A-- PlayMaker Football Macintosh key codes will not work with PlayMaker Football Win95/98/NT. Though the two products are compatible, the Win95/98/NT product was built from the ground up and in development for over a year. You can get a Win95/98/NT key code by purchasing one for $25.
A "sidegrade" is available for registered Mac users for $20.
Q-- (Mac only) I accidentally entered the wrong User Name in the registration process and now the game keeps crashing on me. What should I do?
A-- If your copy of PlayMaker Football v2.2 began crashing after you registered it, chances are you experiencing a bug we have just discovered. From the reports of several users, we have been able to determine that when registering your copy, unless you type your User Name exactly as we sent it to you along with your Key Code, your application will become corrupted and begin crashing.
Fortunately, there's an easy way to tell if you've typed it in correctly. If you have typed it in correctly, the Personal ID that appears in the Registration Dialog will match exactly with the Personal ID we sent you with your Key Code. For example, John Jones will have ICEFALKL in the Personal ID line. If not, then you should check the User Name we sent you carefully for spaces, etc. and re-type it until it matches.
WARNING version 2.2-- once you have registered the application with a User Name that does not match, the program is forever corrupt and you will need to start with a fresh copy. Hopefully you have kept an unregistered version on your disk, if not, you can get download it from here.
Another possibility is that you might have installed PMFB into an existing PMFB folder and the newer program is mis-reading the older files. Please make certain that you install v2.3 PMFB into a separate folder and that you do a full installation.

Q-- How do I get a new registration keycode if I lose my original keycode?
A-- PlayMaker maintains a database keycodes for all registered users. If you lose your keycode, simply provide some proof of purchase or information that would help us locate your original order in our records. If you are not a registered user, you can purchase the game (key code) for $25.
Please note that this is a one time free service. All subsequent requests for your key code will cost $10 USD each to defray he cost of maintaining and researching the customer database.
Please make certain that you write down in a safe place your entire registration name and codes.

Q-- How do I cusomize helmet icons so they appear in the New Game window? (Mac only)
A-- It's not hard, but you will need a copy of ResEdit to do it.
1) launch ResEdit
2) choose Open from the ResEdit File menu
3) navigate to a team who's helmet you like
4) open that file
5) select 'cicn'
6) you'll see a couple of pictures of helmets
7) select all... copy...
8) open your team file
9) paste (and confirm YES if there are duplicates)
10) open either helmet picture in ResEdit by dbl-clicking on the helmet picure
11) edit it to your taste and Save
